How to read the table

In Brossard, the sector letter is the first letter of the street names; it is the split Centris uses. Sectors I and J (Quartier DIX30 and the industrial zone) have almost no residential sales and are not published. Sector R (near the REM and DIX30) and sector C are the most expensive; sectors T and V, older, are the entry points. Days to sell and the ratio describe the market this month: under 15 days and at 100% or more, buyers compete for homes; above 40 days and under 97%, they negotiate. A sector with few sales in a month shows days to sell that jump from one month to the next: read the 12-month trend on the sector page.

Method

Every series comes from the Statistics module of Centris (Matrix), queried on September 16, 2026 with the same settings for every sector: Single-family, Condominium or 2-to-5-unit Income property category, median sale price by year over ten years, then median days to sell, sold-to-asking ratio, active listings and new listings by month over 12 months. Only aggregates are published; when a category has too few sales for a reliable median, it is not published. The 50 Quebec cities are compared on home prices by city, and the long view is on real estate versus inflation over 20 years.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a sector's median price differ from the city's?

The city median blends all its sectors; a sector median counts only its own sales. A sector of 1960s bungalows and a sector of new builds do not sell at the same price, and that is exactly what this table shows.
