Quebec doubled in dollars without looking the same from one region to the next. In ten years, the median house rose +117% in median of regions, and it doubled in 11 of them; most of the increase came between 2019 and 2021, when pandemic buyers, freed by remote work, bought far from the cities, then the 2022-2023 rate hikes pushed 5 regions down in 2023 before prices picked up again: 15 regions out of 15 are at their peak in 2026. Gaps between regions run from Côte-Nord ($239,000) to Island of Montreal ($820,000), and the strongest ten-year increases are not in the most expensive regions: Mauricie (+171%), Centre-du-Québec (+162%), Estrie (+154%). The condo follows: $322,625 in median of regions, 0.71 times the house, and it rose faster than the house in 0 regions out of 14, where the house has moved out of first-time buyers' reach. The same series, city by city, are in home prices by city and condo prices by city.
The median price splits the year's sales in two; it moves with the mix of what sold, and a region's median mixes suburbs close to services and rural municipalities. The condo is published only for years with 10 or more sales. 2026 counts January to September. Each region page lists the tracked cities with their 2026 price, from the most to the least expensive. Sales without a broker are not in Centris.
Statistics module of Centris (Matrix), queries of the night of October 13 to 14, 2026: Single-family then Condominium category, all municipalities of each administrative region, median sale price and number of sales by year over ten years. Only aggregates are published. The same regions have their land prices and cottage prices pages.
In 2026, Abitibi-Témiscamingue ($330,000), Bas-Saint-Laurent ($295,000), Côte-Nord ($239,000) have the lowest median houses of the 15 regions; Island of Montreal ($820,000), Laval ($632,250), Montérégie ($590,000) the highest. Price is not everything: the cheapest regions have the thinnest markets, so less choice and slower sales, and a job on site.
Tracked cities are listed on their region's page with a link to their own page; the others are included in the regional median. A broker from the team can pull the same statistics for any municipality.
